Live
Music & Nightclubs
Does a night of live jazz or some rock
& roll with a few of your closest friends sound
like just what you need? Check out some of these
unusual night spots in San Diego.
Croce's - 802 Fifth Ave. San Diego CA, 619-233-4355 Croce's
Restaurant is located on the corner of 5th and
F, downtown San Diego in the heart of the historic
Gaslamp Quarter, and is both a restaurant and
a jazz bar. When you dine at Croce's you receive
complimentary admission to one or both of the
live jazz and rhythm and blues clubs with the
purchase of a dinner entree.
4th
& B - 345 B Street San Diego,
CA, 619-231-4343 This spacious downtown nightspot
draws big names and big crowds. This is your basic
no-frills music venue: To see the band you either
stand on the vast linoleum floor before the stage,
or sit up in the gently sloping theatre seats
in the balcony. (Sometimes 4th & B puts out
tables and chairs on the main floor.)
Barefoot
Bar & Grill - 1404 Vacation Road
San Diego, CA, 858-274-4630 An outdoor patio,
a view of Mission Bay (it looks even prettier
fringed by all the palm trees), and sand on the
dance floor -- this is everyone's ideal fantasy
beach bar. Located on the grounds of the San Diego
Paradise Point Resort, the bar has live music
on the patio and a big singles scene, especially
on Saturday and Sunday nights. The singles action
is hot at this Mission Beach spot, and it's one
of the city's nicest sunset-viewing bars.
